Açıklama
Aerosol; 10 mikrondan küçük boyuta sahip olan katı veya sıvı partiküllerin gaz ortamından etrafa dağılmasıyla oluşan çok fazlı bir sistemdir. Bu sistem, içinde bulunduğu hacimde asılı kalarak uzun süre çökmeksizin dağıldığı hacmi doldurur.

Meydana gelen yangında, yangın algılama sistemiyle otomatik veya manuel olarak aerosol söndürücülerin içinde bulunan katı bileşim tabletleri, söndürücü üzerinde bulunan tetikleyici sayesinde aktive olur ve tablet bileşiminde tepkimeye girerek redoks reaksiyonu başlatır. Bu reaksiyon sonucunda; potasyum karbonat ve bikarbonatlar, su buharı, karbondioksit ve yoğun azot içeren ve yangın söndürücü özelliğe sahip olan çok fazlı sis bulutunu üretir. Bu çok fazlı sis bulutu, yangına fiziksel ve kimyasal müdahalede bulunarak hızlı ve etkili biçimde söndürür.

Aerosol söndürme sistem tasarımı, TS EN 15276-1 standartları doğrultusunda yapılmalıdır. Aerosol jeneratörlerinin yerleşiminde üreticilerin beyanı mutlak suretle dikkate alınmalıdır.
